MODO is an integrated solution of the MODTRAN5 radiative transfer code for simulation of the solar radiation transfer through the atmosphere. It has been created to ease the modelling of the at-sensor radiance for hyperspectral sensors but also for generic radiometric simulation tasks. The basic functionality includes: running MODTRAN (creation and translation of tape5-s),plotting the MODTRAN - Outputs, extraction and conversion of spectra from the MODTRAN - Output, easy creation of sensitivity analysis series, and convolution of spectra to remote sensing systems band characteristics. The commercial distribution of MODO includes platform-specific MODTRAN exectuables, compiled from the original MODTRAN code and is compatible to all current operating systems (Linux/MacOSX/Windows).The MODTRAN trademark is being used with the express permission of the owner, the United States of America, as represented by the United States Air Force.licensed from the United States of America under U.S. Patent No. 5,315,513.
What is new in this release:
Version 5 fully support for MODTRAN 5 v3r11 and optionally includes a complete installation for MODTRAN (executable through MODO only).
Requirements:
The software runs on the free IDL virtual machine, which is available for Mac OSX and other operating systems from http://www.exelisvis.com
Limitations:
