The module loads shipping quotes immediately as the user chooses a provider, rather then waiting for the user to enter their address or click the "Click to calculate shipping" button.
This makes the checkout more user friendly if you do not need to restrict or calculate shipping methods depending on the billing or delivery address.
After installing the module go to /admin/store/settings/checkout/edit/panes, disable "Calculate shipping cost" and enable "Simplified shipping cost selection" instead.
Installation:
Unpack in your modules folder (usually '/sites/all/modules/')
Enable under Administer > Site Building > Modules
