Firmware Upgrade
(It would be better to upgrade under OSD menu; press power button to select down and WiFi button to confirm; upgrade when the battery is fully charged )
1. After downloading the firmware, put it under the root directory of micro SD card.
The firmware name is recognized as RUNCAM2.BRN
2. Turn on the RUNCAM 2 with the micro SD card inserted,then the camera will start searching the firmware. When the firmware gets checked, you will get a solid orange light.
3. One quick press on the power button.
4. One quick press on the WiFi button.
5. Orange light blinks slowly while firmware is upgrading.
6. After 3.5 minutes, the camera will automatically shut down. And upgrade is completed.
Note
: After firmware updating, please delete this firmware file runcam2.BRN manually.
New Features of RUNCAM2 V1.3 Firmware:
1. Optimize sound recording
2. Fix the bug of invalid G-sensor after rebooting the camera
3. Reset to factory settings: in standby mode, press the power button 3 times in quick succession
4. Loop recording is off by default
5. Add the function of firmware file automatic deletion (valid upon a second upgrading of 1.3 version firmware or above.)
About Digital Camera Firmware:
Updating to a newer firmware version than the one already installed on your camera can improve the device’s overall performance and stability, resolve various issues, and add support for newly developed features or enhance existing ones.
