UFS Explorer RAID Recovery is an accomplished software product focused on RAID-related data recovery tasks. The program allows reconstructing RAID systems of various complexity, both software and hardware, including standard RAID patterns, nested/hybrid RAID levels as well as custom RAID configurations, and effectively restore data lost due to user errors or various logical issues while various helpful options like sorting, search filters, file preview, storage image creator, etc. make the process easy and smooth.

The software supports a wide range of file systems of Windows (NTFS, FAT, FAT32, exFAT), macOS (HFS+, APFS), Linux (Ext2, Ext3, Ext4, XFS, JFS, ReiserFS, UFS/UFS2, Btrfs), BSD/Solaris (simple and stripe ZFS volumes) and is capable of detecting and working with various modern storage technologies, like MDADM, Logical Disk Manager, MS Storage Spaces, LVM, Synology Hybrid RAID, Apple Software RAID, Apple Fusion Drive, Intel Matrix, RAID-Z and others. Advanced software techniques enable building RAID from physical disks or a set of disk images, editing RAID configurations or saving them for further work. Also, the software features an embedded hexadecimal viewer for brief analysis of data on partitions and disks.

Furthermore, the program provides an extensive set of instruments for work with damaged disks: RAID with damaged sectors can be adaptively reconstructed using parity (for RAID 5 and RAID 6), a copy of data (for RAID 1) or disk images with the imitation of bad sectors with help of bad sector maps. In addition to RAID and RAID-based devices, like NAS, the software is applicable for data recovery from other storages: PCs and laptops, USB flash drives, memory cards, external hard drives, virtual machines, disk image files, etc. Among the supported virtual technologies are VMware, Hyper-V, VirtualBox, QEMU, XEN, Parallels, disk images of Apple, EnCase, R-Studio and other formats.

What is new in this release:

Version 7.16 fixed bugs in FAT recovery recovery module: Removed record attributes verification for Volume Name entry; Fixed bug with reconstruction of fragmented files when second FAT table is damaged. Modified procedure of classification of found MFT entries from unlinked MFT chunks.

What is new in version 5.24.2:

  • Raw recovery: byte-accurate detection of size for JPG and MTS, excluded bad JPG;
  • Viewer: now displaying damaged progressive JPG files;
  • Bug fix: fixed severe issue with multi-thread scan under Linux and Mac OS.

What is new in version 5.23.3:

Version 5.23.3: updated Apple APFS module to support "release" version of APFS file system. The software will provide file system access to read files from consistent file system and to recover files from RAID storage with this file system.

What is new in version 5.22:

Version 5.22 introduces "Viewer" tool in all editions of UFS Explorer software. Software comes with "SDL Software Manager" to keep track of software updates.
