Tired of having those "Where Did I put that PDF File" moments? If you're like me and use a bunch of PDF's as references daily, and you keep on getting those "Where did I put that PDF file" moments, I understand the urgency. Youre sure youve read it somewhere in one of your PDFs, so the next thing you know, you start wondering around dozens of folders, wasting lots of time -- but no success, you can't find the PDF anywhere. Let me tell you, you're not alone. As a software developer I use hundreds of technical PDF files for reference in my daily work and over time I've built a large collection of PDFs. They are a great help when I need more information on a specific topic about programming. But finding the right PDF file when I need it has become a time consuming task. I keep on getting that "Where Did I Put that PDF file" moment. Opening dozens of different PDF documents and not finding exactly what I needed. What a pain. I began looking for a software solution to help me organize my PDF documents, but the most promising option was Itunes which is a great application, but its designed to organize MP3 files. It was a little awkward to use Itunes to organize my PDF Files, sure it works, but it didn't feel right. Besides having to explain to coworkers that I was using Itunes to organize my PDF documents, it just didn't look professional and I kept on getting that funny look saying "Yeah, right". So, I decided to create my own solution, and. after a couple of months writing and testing the application, PDFShelf was born. Now I have all my PDF documents at my fingertips. No more "Where Did I put that PDF file?" moments for me.
