TArtImg is a TImage descendant with many effects (change Rgb, anti alias, gray scale, sharpen, soften, soften less, find edges, blur, invert, chalk, emboss, contrast, brightness, add color noise, add mono noise, saturation, mosaic, solarize, posterize, pencil drawing, mono brush drawing, draw brush strokes, add alpha gradient, interlaced, spray, horizontal mirror, vertical mirror). Using TArtImg component is very simple, just install it, drop it onto the form, load a 24bit bitmap, and use one of the procedures.
