WebMachine

Developed by Basho Technologies, creators of the infamous Riak database system, WebMachine was developed to ease development of HTTP-based applications.

WebMachine is actually an evolved REST toolkit. providing a quick way of tapping into an application's behavioral code via HTTP requests.

So basically, WebMachine allows developers to create applications that can be controlled, or can react to user input via HTTP. A modern day programmer's dream.
