Respond

There's a growing concern with Web developers because of how the terms "CSS framework" and "UI toolkit" are used.

While UI toolkits are a large collection of ready-made UI widgets and components that can be used to prototype Web pages, they aren't "real" CSS frameworks, but more of frontend UI frameworks.

Respond is a true CSS framework, being made only of a CSS file which contains basic CSS rules that when loaded on a page sets up a basic structure on which the page's content can be built.

No UI widgets, no components, no modules. Just basic CSS code that makes sure elements line up and display properly across browsers.

In this matter, Respond does not only take care of some basic CSS rules and alignments, but also adds support for responsive page layouts, powered via the new CSS 3 media-query feature.
