Polo was created from the start to work with Pelican content, meaning you can easily take all the content of your Pelican site and move it into Polo and it will work out of the box.
While Pelican supports Markdown, AsciiDoc, or reStructuredText content, Polo only works with Markdown-formatted text for now, but supports meta data fields for each post and page.
There are also some local configuration files you can tweak and play with to modify your site's settings, altering the site's owner name, the site title, its base URL, the favicon image, the presence of an archive page, and support for categories and tags.
The config also lets developers modify the site's Google Analytics, ShareThis, and Disqus IDs.
Since Polo also comes with a built-in server, this feature lets deploy and run the site on a custom port and keep running other servers with other interpreters separately and at the same time.
