PerfBar can be a crucial tool in the testing and debugging phase of a Web page.
This small library works by adding a small bar at the bottom of a page, which can be clicked and expanded to reveal various metrics about the page and its inner-workings.
Various metrics regarding loading time and loading performance are presented, metrics which can be turned on or off based on the developer's needs.
If the desired metric is not supported, then the library can be easily expanded.
PerfBar also features support for budgeting, meaning the ability to specify minimum and maximum accepted values. Using this feature, various metrics can be colored red when they're off the optimum values, or green when everything is running OK.
The library is also available as a WordPress plugin.
