Model-Glue was one of the first truly modern ColdFusion frameworks, helping many developers smooth out their ColdFusion code, creating powerful and well-structured CFML apps and websites.
While development has stopped in recent years, this has nothing to do with its capabilities and community dedication, ColdFusion as a whole being less and less used in general.
Regardless of ColdFusion's current state of adoption between programmers, Model-Glue is still regarded as one of the top CFML frameworks around, easy to use, and well documented.
Features:
- MVC architecture
- Easy ORM integration
- Project scaffolding
- Implicit invocation
- Separation of concerns
- Bean injection
- Typed events
- Event generation
- SEO friendly URLs
- Caching engine
- Helpers and formatters
What is new in this release:
- Fixed issue where event types did not respect multiple XML blocks for requestformat functionality.
- Added in try - catches around the file operations so that sandboxed servers will work, preventing sandbox security exceptions.
- Seriously fixed http://docs.model-glue.com/ticket/349 this time. (Bug with SesUrlManager.cfc due to Apache and IIS reporting cgi params differently)
- Removed potential recursion in helper loader functionality and also removed useless cfdump when a helper is attempted to be included but doesn't have a cfc or cfm extension.
Requirements:
- ColdFusion 6.1 or higher
