The Flexarea library works on the basic Firefox and Google Chrome feature that lets users grab the bottom-right corner of a textarea and resize it to the dimensions they want.
Flexarea makes this feature available to all browsers and devices, allowing any user to do this, regardless of his Web browsing medium.
There are some differences though, the library limiting the textarea resizing process only to a vertical axis, and also adding a visual indicator (a drag handler) to the entire bottom side of the textarea.
Only when dragging this special handler does the textarea adjust its height, Flexarea eliminating the bottom-right corner resize feature in Chrome and Firefox altogether.
