Apache VXQuery

As with anything else developed by Apache, VXQuery was created and is currently being developed to handle large amounts of data out of the box.

There are plenty of XML query processors around that can work with small to medium loads, but very few can work in production environments where the data stream is constant and at very large values.

VXQuery was built and will be able to handle large amounts of XML data, stored in small XML documents.

VXQuery also includes support for parallel computing, processing the data on multiple machines and aggregating the results.
