Alphatec Watermarking Suite is a family of applications for casting invisible watermarks (signatures) on digital images/video/audio/3D and detecting these watermarks. Such a method can be used for copyright protection and ownership recognition of digital content.
A copyright owner can cast its id_number as an invisible watermark (signature) on any digital file. Later on, he can examine whether a given file, which is suspected for being illegally copied, contains his own watermark (id_number) and use it as legal proof.
