ADO console is a simple program that allows to query various databases, that have OLE DB or ODBC providers. It was created to execute SQL queries against different databases and to exchange data between them. It was mainly used with these providers: Microsoft OLEDB provider for Visual FoxPro (allows connecting to FoxPro, DBase .dbf); Microsoft OLEDB provider for SQL Server; Microsoft Jet 4.0 OLEDB Provider (for Microsoft Access). Features: list of connections (.udl files); metadata information (tables, procedures, columns); SQL syntax highlighting; history of SQL commands; export data as SQL INSERTs or delimites values; export metadata as SQL create table.
