kopete-history-merger

kopete-history-merger is an open source plugin for KDE's default chat software, Kopete, allowing users to easily merge history and logs.

To compile the program you will need to have the KDE and Kopete development files installed. Run the following commands to compile it:

cd kopete_history
qmake && make

To use it, run kopete_history, add directories with logs/history (Ctrl + O) and and save (Ctrl + S).

How it works? It is read all files in the respective folders, then tries to parse the XML and join it by date. The default path with history and logs for Kopete is in ~/.kde/share/apps/kopete/logs/.
