Bitnami Publify Module is a multiplatform and freely distributed module that can be used on top of a Bitnami LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP) installation, specially designed for the Publify blogging platform. It greatly simplifies the deployment of Publify!
What is Publify?
Publify is a Ruby on Rails-based blogging platform capable of providing custom templates, advanced SEO capabilities, a drag and drop plugins API, XMLRPC API, spam protection, commenting and Ajax-based live search. It is a platform-independent, web-based application that runs on top of a web server and requires a database engine for storing its data.Installing Bitnami Publify Module
Just like the Bitnami Publify Stack product, Bitnami Publify Module is distributed as native installers for the Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X operating systems, as well as for all GNU/Linux distributions. To install Publify on your Bitnami LAMP server, just download the package the corresponds to your PC’s arch (32-bit or 64-bit), run it and follow the instructions displayed on the screen.Virtualize Publify or run it on the cloud
In addition to installing Publify on your computer, either by using the Bitnami Publify Stack or the Bitnami Publify Module, you can also virtualize it using Bitnami’s Ubuntu-based virtual machine images for the Oracle VirtualBox and VMware ESX/ESXi virtualization software, as well as to run it on the cloud, thanks to Bitnami’s pre-built cloud images designed for the Amazon EC2 and Windows Azure cloud hosting providers. The Bitnami Publify Stack
Besides the Bitnami Publify Module product reviewed here, Bitnami also provides a standalone, all-in-one solution for installing Publify and all of its runtime dependencies on a desktop computer or laptop, without the need to know anything about how to install a database or web server. Bitnami Publify Stack is available for download for free from Softoware. What is new in this release:
