Syntainia

Syntainia is an innovative application for visualization of multiple genomes. It presents a simple and intuitive user interface to view and manipulate relationships between groups of genes. With a clearer gene visualization, it is easier for the researcher to identify synteny conservation among multiple genomes.

Syntainia is a desktop application that looks great and runs smoothly on Windows, Linux and Mac OS X and that also works in any other operating system with Java 6.

What is new in this release:

• Added interactivity directly over the graphic. It is possible to do the same things already available over the tree.
• Added using of JGraph to show the graphic and to support direct interactivity.
• Added a new Welcome Panel with direct access to the most used functionalities available after start up.
• Fixed spelling of some messages.
• Used a new build system based on Maven, which reduced the size of the installation package.
