jBot is an open source platform game written in Python and PyGame, similar to the famous Super Mario, Super Metroid and K.O.L.M. games. It involves jumping, running, climbing and shooting.
jBot includes particle effects, beautiful graphics, monsters, coins, laser guns, health bar, progress saving, binary levels, pixel art, physics and much more.
It supports both Python 2.7+ and Python 3.1+, and it is available for the Linux, Mac OS X and Windows operating systems.
What is new in this release:
- Added Sounds: Background music and sfx. Sounds may be laggy on some machines.
What is new in version 1.4:
- No Double Jumping!
- Requires python 2.7+ or python 3.1+
- Required screen size: 1280x768 pixels or greater
- GETS 50+ FPS!
