Zoomerang.js also works with text-based content as well, allowing developers to setup a zoom-in system for any element on the page they wish.
Zoomerang works via CSS 3 transforms and should work on all major desktop and mobile browsers.
The library allows customization of features and parameters like zoom effect duration, overlay color, overlay transparency, zoomed in state dimensions and zoom in transition type.
Be aware that are no close buttons. To minimize a zoomed in element the user has to click/tap the zoomed in element or the overlay background.
Zoomerang.js was inspired by Medium's image and avatar viewing system. A demo is included with the download package.
