The Zimbra Collaboration Suite is a complete solution that will enable developers to deploy a messaging system for their companies.
It is a server and client technology, with the server part only running on a few Linux distros, but complete with mobile clients and deep desktop integration (Windows, Mac, and Linux supported).
Most of the management operations are carried out through a Web client, which all users can utilize if they can't afford the commercial version with its mobile and desktop clients.
Zimbra Collaboration will let users easily read & write emails, manage tasks, organize events, share files with each other, and even maintain a contacts lists of both their clients, friends, and coworkers.
Under the hood the platform merges Java, Perl, JavaScript, and a few more other technologies to provide a top of the line team collaboration software.
Zimbra Collaboration is available under two licenses. One under an open source platform and another version under a commercial license that also gives access to a few more features.
