Yoper Slim is the fifth and last edition of the independent Yoper Linux operating system, designed from the offset for experienced users who want to build custom distributions of Linux based on Yoper.
It is built from scratch
Yoper is built from scratch, it is not based on any Linux kernel-based operating system. The Slim edition can be downloaded from Softoware as an installable-only ISO image that runs on computers supporting 32-bit and 64-bit instruction set architectures.
It can be installed with or without ACPI support
While the installation process will start automatically in ten seconds from the moment the user boots the ISO image from the BIOS of a computer, using either a CD disc or a USB flash drive, you can access the boot menu by pressing the ESC key during the 10-second timeout. It can be installed with or without Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI) support.
The installation takes 5 minutes
To install the Yoper Slim distribution on your computer, you must accept the license, perform a media check (optional), partition the disk, as well as to install a bootloader. The installation takes 5 minutes on a decent computer.
