Wakanda Community Edition is an open source, free and multiplatform web-based broad platform for all types of developers. It comprises of three main components: the Wakanda Ajax Framework, the Wakanda Server and the Wakanda Studio.

Key features include data model designer, GUI (Graphical User Interface) designer, code editor, debugger, directory editor, solution manager, as well as support for the Git version control system.The application will allow you to create modern and attractive user interfaces for both desktop and mobile operating systems, create web components, create attributes, methods and data classes, browse HTML structures, create server or local datasources, manage breakpoints, debug JavaScript, create users and groups, as well as to create custom widgets and themes.
While the Wakanda Ajax Framework communicates with the server, the Wakanda Server component features startup control, cross-solution file structure, virtual folders, ability to evaluate a JavaScript file using a command-line, CommonJS unit testing, and a client-side API.
On the other hand, Wakanda Studio features z-Index control, the ability to duplicate an existing theme, copy and paste between pages, shortcuts to access the Widget List, Vimeo and HTML5 extensions via the Video widget, and community themes.

Wakanda is a cross-browser software that has been successfully tested with a wide variety of web browsers, among which we can mention Mozilla Firefox, Safari, Opera, Google Chrome, Chromium and Internet Explorer.The software is supported an all mainstream operating systems, including GNU/Linux, Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X. While Ubuntu is officially supported with native installers, universal binary packages are provided for other distributions.
