Vesper was coded on top of the <audio> HTML5 tag, allowing easy playback of audio data via a visual GUI.
The player's interface was coded via JavaScript and CSS, being easy to style and change to fit any size or background UI.
As for Vesper's actual audio playback capabilities, the player can work with audio files stored on a server somewhere online, but it can also work with audio, real-time streams.
There are controls for stopping/resuming the playback process, controlling the volume label, and also displaying the song's current timeline position.
Additional support is included for showing song artwork via the Last.fm service, and also parsing and displaying metadata via ID3 tags.
A demo is included with Vesper, useful for showing developers how it can be implemented.
Requirements:
- JavaScript enabled on client side
- HTML 5 enabled browser
