Vectorinpup is an open source distribution of Linux that combines elements from the Puppy Linux and VectorLinux operating systems. It is powered by a stable Linux kernel package from the 2.6 branch and uses JWM as its default and only desktop environment.
Distributed as a minimal Live CD ISO image
The user can download Vectorinpup via Softoware or its homepage as a minimal Live CD ISO image that supports both 32-bit and 64-bit processors, but will only run 32-bit applications. It must be deployed to either a USB stick or CD disc in order to boot it from the BIOS of a PC.
Boot options
Being based on Puppy Linux Slacko, the distribution features a minimal boot prompt that will automatically start the live environment in 5 seconds if no keyboard key is pressed. However, the user can press the F2 or F3 key to access basic or advanced boot options.
Includes a low on resources and fast desktop environment
As mentioned, Vectorinpup’s default and only desktop environment is powered by JWM, a very lightweight and extremely fast window manager that uses a familiar setup comprised of single taskbar located on the bottom edge of the screen, from where users can launch applications, switch between the two virtual workspaces or interact with opened programs.

Default applications include the Viewnior image viewer, mtPaint digital painting editor, AbiWord word processor, Geany IDE, HomeBank personal accounting software, Gnumeric spreadsheet editor, XMMS audio player, FFConvert multimedia converter, and ROX-Filer file manager.
