urlhighlight

urlhighlight can highlight different parts of an URL when embedded as text on a Web page.

The library can be used with syntax highlighters, breaking down a link into its composing parts and applying different colors to these sections.

This is done by breaking down the URL text, wrapping it inside a <span> tag, and then applying a CSS class to it.

This class can then be used to control the color via an external stylesheet.

Because of this feature the urlhighlight library is very easy to skin with different themes, based on the design of your own sites.

An urlhighlight demo is included with the download package.

- protocol
- protocol delimiter
- host
- port
- port delimiter
- path
- query parameter
- parameter value
- query delimiter
- query parameter delimiter
- hash
- hash delimiter
- MIME type
- MIME type delimiter
- encoding
- encoding delimiter
- URL data
