The 'Twitter Login' script allows webmasters to authenticate site users via their Twitter username and password.
For the authentication procedures, the script uses the OAuth 2.0 secure protocol and the Twitter4J library.
Besides login and logout operations, the script can also pull profile details once the user authenticated, which can later be used for creating new accounts for the logged in users.
The type of details it can retrieve include the user's ID, his name, email address, screen name, location, homepage, timezone details, UTC offset, and profile language settings.
It can also retrieve the user's background image URL, avatar URL, followers count, friends count, favorites count, listed count, and profile creation date.
A tweeting facility is also supported, allowing users to update their status without actually going on the Twitter site.
