TrueTheater Enhancer is a browser plug-in especially developed to improve image quality in online videos.
Once installed on your system, TrueTheater Enhancer displays a small icon over the video. Click on it and you'll be able to watch the video in a separate player, with a nicely designed black interface, playback controls and a couple of sliders (brightness and contrast) that improve video quality. The program also displays related videos at the bottom of the interface.
TrueTheater Enhancer lets you watch the video in fullscreen, and also has split and side-by-side modes which let you judge the improvement - which in most cases is not that impressive, and even less now that you can watch HD videos on many websites.
TrueTheater Enhancer does what it says on the tin, but it also has some drawbacks: the program doesn't have any configuration options, it doesn't display any information about the selected video and, worst of all, it only supports one browser (Internet Explorer) and one video website (YouTube).
