TranscriptionWriter includes a set of phonetic rules taken from Wikipedia. The rules are systematized and represented together with examples of usage. Also you will see examples of the use of different words. You can find this set directly in the Wikipedia article English Orthography.

When you enter an English word, the program chooses the first option of the transcription. There is a need for your correction, which can be simply performed by selecting the items with the correct options of the transcription. The set is built into the program, and is available for editing. After the first run of the program, the EnglishOrthographyFromWikipedia.rtf file appears in the directory containing the program. This file includes all the rules of the use of phonetic symbols embedded in the program. In the future, this file is not overwritten after restarting the program, and you can modify the file, thereby using the current version of a set of phonetic rules.
