Toto was created to help developers put Python-based Web projects together.
By default, Toto supports the Redis, PostgreSQL, MongoDB and MySQL databases.
Toto also uses JSON files to provide easy data consumption access for clients working on various platforms.
On top of this, Toto includes support for HMAC-SHA1 verification for authenticated requests, session management techniques and a simple server scaling architecture.
As you can see, the framework assembles the basic functionality usually found in any Web-based application out there, providing a set of ready-made functions and methods for easy application development.
Using Toto reduces development time and costs and also sets a pretty solid codebase on which more complex apps and websites can safely be built in Python.
