The Intel Chipset Software Installation Utility installs the Windows INF files on the target system that outline how the chipset components should be configured for the operating system.
This is necessary for the proper functioning of the following features: Core PCI and ISA PNP Services, AGP Support IDE/ATA33/ATA66 Storage Support USB Support Identification of Intel Chipset Components in Device Manager.
Important Notes
- During the installation of this file, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.
- To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
- Print out these instructions for use as a reference during the installation process.
