TerraSaver

This screensaver was designed to take you on a flying trip that will probably make you have a different perspective of the Earth. A screensaver that generates vast, panoramic landscapes then flies through them.

The landscape generation algorithm is slow because the primary focus was to explore/demonstrate in everyday, experiential terms (like flying across a landscape) some of the amazing things possible by converting from the spatial domain to the frequency domain, doing some processing, then converting back to the spatial domain.
