SVG is a standard to embed vector graphics on Web pages.
While despised and hated at the beginning, the standard kept evolving and is now extremely well supported by most modern and quite a lot of the older generation of browsers as well.
Because of this, SVG is currently widely used and recommended by industry experts as the optimum way of embedding graphics on a Web page, and as a fully-customizable medium for animations as well.
Snap.svg is an animations and effects engine developed by Adobe to help programmers create complex animation sequences using SVG vector graphics.
Because the animations rely on SVG instead of bitmap data, these animations scale up or down very accurately and can be easily be used with desktop, mobiles and smart TVs without looking out of placed or over-aliased.
Check out the included examples for some sample animations and the official website for usage instructions and documentation.
