The user can upload files, create a download monitor recording and publish them on the site's frontend via an automatically generated shortcode.
Downloadable files can also be tagged and organized in categories.
A logging feature is also included, recording all downloads or download attempts for a file.
Besides this features, Simple Download Monitor also comes with WYSIWYG editor integration and nice frontend templates.
Installation:
Unpack and upload it to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory.
Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in WordPress.
