Working on top of a WordPress custom post type, Simple Admin Notes works as an internal messaging system.
It allows admins to leave messages for themselves or other staff members, which optionally can even be shown above or below a post in the content editing screens.
Installation:
Unpack and upload it to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory.
Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in WordPress.
Features:
- WYSIWYG editing for the note/reminder
- Its own section in the admin panel
- Adds a metabox for showing notes in the post editing screen
- Can manage more than one note at a time
- Does not show in the frontend at all
