ShadowBack knows when files have changed and can back them up immediately, knows how to back up data from popular applications even if they are running and have locked their data files, knows where popular applications store data, knows what data doesn't have to be backed up from popular applications, has an automatic mode where the user merely has to insert and label media, and has encryption and compression options. Version 1.5 includes scheduled backups, one-click backups, and saving and loading backup sets.
