ScrollableTable works by taking an HTML table, looking for its thead and tfoot tags, and making these two items sticky via a CSS fixed position property.
The plugin is quite easy to use and it can be very useful when having to display very large tables on a Web page.
Because table headers and footers usually provide clues about the data shown on that specific column, industry UX experts recommend these items to always remain visible on screen.
ScrollableTable simplifies this process and helps your users get a quick overview of the data they're navigating in a table.
An indirect consequence of the plugin's usage is that for the table's body, scrollbars will automatically added in case its height goes over a certain dimension.
This will make the table look like an overflowing element, with the header and footer rows shown in a fixed position.
