SchoolDir is an application to help you manage the directory for an elementary or secondary school, with student and parent names, addresses, phone numbers, and e-mail addresses. The major benefit of the program is the ease of updating the information each year. Rather than starting fresh each year, asking parents to fill out a paper form and submit it for some volunteer to type in to a spreadsheet, SchoolDir itself can send an e-mail to every family in the directory asking them to confirm or update their information each year. SchoolDir also generates a mail merge document for Microsoft Word, easing the creation of a PDF document for distribution.
