Do you enjoy mysteries? Rosemary is a short, but engaging and melancholy cartoon adventure from the Singapore-MIT GAMBIT Game Lab, which aims to produce new gaming ideas.
Rosemary is essentially a point and click game - its graphical style is reminiscent of the classic Broken Sword series, so it looks good. You are not given any direct instruction over what to do, you just have to look around and discover what you should do! The element that makes Rosemary a little different in the point and click genre, is the memory button. Rosemary first arrives in a deserted, and miserable looking place, but hit the memory button and the world transforms in to the bright, cheerful place of rosemary's childhood.
The game mechanics are like most point and click adventures - click on objects and people to interact, and but by bit the story will unfold. While Rosemary is an interesting story, the puzzles are more about working out how the game works than enjoyable in themselves, however it is a memorable game
Rosemary looks and sounds wonderful, and even though it's short, it's quite a touching story. It's better suited to adults, as the main themes are memory and loss.
