Recent Google Searches Widget

Recent Google Searches Widget works by listing the most recently detected search terms for which new users land on the site.

These terms are listed in the sidebar and when clicked will run a search on the site's own search system, showing the results of that same query against the site's own content.

This helps users find similar content on the site.

The plugin can be useful for both users that have recently landed on the site or users that have been using the site already.

Installation:

Unpack and upload it to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory.
Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in WordPress.

What is new in this release:

• Search engines have been changing the way they deliver the search referrer string. This tries to fix this.

What is new in version 1.40:

• Changed URL encoding in the search string.
• Sanitized input search string to avoid exploits and improve security.
