The RAF Nimrod has been active in many modern war and peacetime operations by the Royal Air Force. The new Nimrod MRA4 aircraft will be active from 2012. The Nimrod MR2 Tribute screensaver is released just before most MR2 aircraft are removed from military bases and installed in aircraft museums, with most aircraft chopped up to transport to their new homes.
