Plan 9 From Outer Space: The Game is still currently in the early stages of development. It is based on the Ed Wood movie of the same name, widely considered to be one of the worst movies of all time. At present, I have completed preliminary programming on the game's opening sequence in which you, as the alien invaders, cross the galaxy in an attempt to locate & destroy the planet Earth. While the current demo game is rather small and limited in scope, future levels will be long side-scrolling 2d arcade action with occasional platformer game elements. In keeping with the spirit of the film, originally entitled Grave Robbers From Outer Space, you'll be able to raise the dead from various grave site to act as your ground troops while you reign down destruction from above. You'll be able to destroy a variety of Earth locations including Hollywood and Washington, D. C. An online demo of the game is also available at the QuixoteSoft website, as are 64-bit Windows binaries and a version for Mac OS (as yet untested). Limitations:
This is simple an early tech demo of the work done so far on Plan 9 From Outer Space: The Game. The full game will be much larger and more polished, will include voice-overs and plot elements, movie tie-ins, better special effects, and more.
