Pixel Counter can be used to add a "total pixels" or "pixels used" counter on your site, like the one found on the immensely popular Dribbble site.
The library works on top of Node.js and can even be used from its command-line interface.
Developers can point the library at an image or at a folder containing multiple images.
Pixel Counter will scan each image, detect its resolution and then calculate the amount of pixels found inside each one. At the end it will add up all these values and present the total result.
The library can work with images in the following formats:
- BMP
- GIF
- JPG
- JPEG
- PNG
- PSD
- SVG
- TIFF
- WebP
Usage instructions are included with the library's README file.
What is new in this release:
- Support for multiple directories.
Requirements:
- Node.js
