Particleground

Particleground uses the HTML5 canvas utility to render out a random animated particle system, with small lines that interconnect the dots.

All the dots move at random a speed and in a random direction, with lines being created and destroyed constantly between them.

Developers can control the color of the dots and lines, their speed ranges, movement direction, density, and a few more other settings via the plugin's parameters.

The Particleground effect can be applied to any page section, but it will look much better when applied to the entire page's background.

Besides the self-animating particle system, the Particleground effect also comes with a barely noticeable parallax effect and support for both mobile and desktop environments.

When viewing Particleground from a mobile device, the direction in which the particle system moves is controlled by the phone's motion detection system (gyroscope), while on desktop devices this is controlled via the mouse.

A demo and usage instructions are included with the plugin's download package.
