P@WS (Physio @ Work Station) is designed to combat the steady rise in computer related injuries that can occur whilst sitting at a computer for long periods of time. P@WS resides in the Windows System Tray and periodically reminds the user to take a break from sitting at their workstation. The user is given a set of exercises to perform through simple step-by-step instructions and images. Postural, lifestyle and safety prompts are provided to assist in maintaining a sound posture throughout the day. P@WS also includes a simple, step-by-step workstation setup guide on how to correctly set up a safe and ergonomically sound work environment. The idea of P@WS was created by Luke Spetch, a clinical physiotherapist who over the last 12 years has observed first hand the steady rise in computer related injuries. Luke firmly believes that P@WS will reduce the incidence of such injuries by reminding users to be more active during the day and sit correctly at their workstation.
