Open Tax Solver provides a quick and easy way to calculate your Federal and State personal income Taxes. It contains the forms that apply to many people. It also contains programs to fill out the State Tax Forms for several of the most populous states. The graphical interface is simple and intuitive to use. A brief movie on the web page shows how to install and use the program. This program has been in use for over sixteen years.
What is new in this release:
Version 16.06 updated for the most recent 2018 tax-year, improved GUI display formatting, and save-file formatting. Fixed NJ-State lines 74 + 75, and PDF positioning of line 17. Fixed GUI issue when loading State template(s) which did not display spouse fields when importing joint Federal return.
What is new in version 15.07:
Version 15.07 updates the Federal 1040 to re-activates line-34, the "Tuition and Fees Deduction", which was originally removed from the 2017 tax form, and then reinstated by Congress in the midst of this tax season.
What is new in version 14.03:
Added automatic PDF fill-out forms for State Taxes for two more states - MA + NC. Improved GUI.
