Microsoft Excel Utility can Import external file data into a spreadsheet and also Export spreadsheet data out to individual ASCII files. Use the Import routine to Import ASCII data from a single file or all files within a folder into a single spreadsheet. Use the Export routine to Export spreadsheet data out to individual ASCII files. Import Example - if you import 1,000 files, and each file contains 10 lines of data, then the resulting spreadsheet will contain 1,000 rows by 10 columns of data. Each row will represent a single file and each of the 10 columns will represent a line item of data imported from each file. Export Example - if your spreadsheet contains 1,000 rows by 10 columns of data, then you will end up creating 1,000 new ASCII files with each file containing 10 lines of data.
