MondoMail/FM is a FileMaker Pro (Mac/Win) plug-in for sending and receiving e-mail. Support for POP3, IMAP and SMTP, SMTP authentication, and now secure incoming mail transfers via POP3/SSL, IMAP/SSL.
MondoMail provides FileMaker designers with a single set of External functions to retrieve email from POP3 and IMAP accounts. Regardless of which type of server you need to connect to, all the functions are exactly the same. This makes it very easy if you start out retrieving mail from a POP3 account, then later need to change to using IMAP. Every piece of information about incoming emails can be retrieved: any header, whether there are attachments, size of the attachments, if it's a multi-part MIME message, you can retrieve each part of the message body separately. And of course you can add or modify any of the headers for outgoing emails.
MondoMail supports your creativity when it comes to marketing products and services from FileMaker Pro. If you send out broadcast emails to your customers (or fans), newsletters, announcements, apply some HTML-formatting and include a few snazzy graphics in the emails. MondoMail will happily let you. Attachments are no problem, in fact you can even provide the URL of a remote file (PDF, image) and MondoMail downloads it and includes it as an attachment as part of the sending process.
Many people these days receive email from their Web sites. It may be a form for signing up to a newsletter, or notice of a newly-arrived order from their online store. By having MondoMail automatically download your email messages, you can parse the information from the received message and create new FileMaker records including that data.
