MiwoFTP is different from the built-in WordPress Media Library since it has access to the entire files and folders structure on which the WordPress site has been installed, and not just images and a few other files in the uploads directory.
With MiwoFTP, developers can navigate, upload, and edit core WordPress files, adding and removing files from sections previously accessible only via FTP clients.
Since MiwoFTP can be quite destructive if left to untrained editors, it is recommended that access to it be granted to trained personnel only. This means using a WP plugin that can limit access to the admin menu based on user ID or group.
Installation:
Unpack and upload it to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory.
Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in WordPress.
