This MechWarrior 3 Demo Patch will fix an uninstall problem with the original MechWarrior 3 demo. The updated demo is free from the bug corrected by this patch. The problem affects some of those people who did not install the demo into the default directory. If you installed to an existing directory without creating a unique folder to install into, then the original uninstall program could delete all of the files in that directory. For example: If you installed into c:games, then the uninstall will delete all of the files in c:games, including files in other subdirectories. If you installed into c:gamesmech3, then you are fine. If you merely changed the drive letter then you are fine. The patch only fixes the uninstall problem with the original demo.
Requirements:
an old version of the MechWarrior 3 demo (The one currently on this site doesn't need a patch)
